Meet Katie and Travis: soul mates, tailgating partners, Â lovers of nachos, and their fur babies Frank + Ernie.
Katie and Travis sealed their last 364 days of 2017 with a kiss at midnight, and the first minutes into 2018 as husband and wife. With their family and friends along side of them, Katie and Travis had a twilight ceremony at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan on New Years Eve. St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Gross Pointe was the most gorgeous venue still decorated with all the candle light + magic of the Holiday season, making their New Years Eve twilight ceremony every bit magical.
I, personally loved the challenge of the -20 degree wind-chills (thanks Michigan!), and all portraits being after the sun set, and it was pitch black. While New Years Eve brings it’s own magic, anticipating the New Year, the most enchanting moments of their wedding day was in their stories.

Remembering Travis’s Father who had passed earlier this year, and Katie’s father who was also watching his little girl walk down the aisle from the skies.
The entire room flooded with tears, as Travis’s Father had recorded him singing their song, as their first dance as MR+MRS.
(I mean I was literally, SOBBING. It was so incredibly raw, real  + magical).
Now, onto the lighter stuff – like BALLOONS! They had a 300 balloon drop at midnight, a NACHO BAR, glow stick limbo + Katie + Travis were honest to goodness ROCKSTARS despite the frigid temps.
Together we braved the snow, the darkness, and laughter as I climbed in a tree, and through the lights to get the perfect shot.
Katie and Travis you two are pretty magical yourselves, and your wedding day of course, followed suit.
