They moved to Pittsburgh for a new oppurtunity for Josh’s job, so we were so glad they made the venture back to Michigan so we could meet her

What an awesome couple! Lindsay was on the ball when she booked with me close to 2 years ago! Since then, I knew it was going to be an amazing wedding. I love when clients get so excited about my work, it makes all the sleepless nights editing worth it, and it’s such a blessing finding clients who truly are your biggest fans! So thankful to be able to share in this special day with Lindsay and Chad Lindsay, you are stunning, like “oh my look at this girl” stunning, as your groom could see as you walked down the aisle… Chad, you’re not so bad yourself

Meet the couple who wont the “sweetest sweetheart” contest awhile back! When she contacted me she said that Cody wasn’t stationed in the states and asked if we could wait to do the session till his return. How could I say no to that?! So we waited till he got back in April… He was home for a little over a week, and in that time, we did their engagement photos, they got married, and we did a bride/groom session after the wedding, talk about a busy week!

They were such a fun couple to work with, and were so willing to have fun and let loose, and let the wind drive us all buzzurk thanks Kelsey & Cody for being so oober-fabulous!

If you are anything like me, you hate scrounging the cupboards figuring out what to make for dinner last minute. For the past 2 years I have had a dry erase magnet on our fridge, that I would “plan” nightly dinners on. I’ve wanted to make a more permeant version of this, and via Pinterest Inspiration, here it is! I’ve attached a link to all the yummy Entrees for each night, you can download it by clicking HERE Have fun making your own! You will need:

• 11×14 photo frame
• (4) 8.5×11 sheets of chic cardstock
• 7 clothes pins
• hot glue
• CRICUT (for cutting out letters) I used “Don Juan & In my Kitchen” Cartridges
• Prinable Entrées (attached – feel free to add your own!)
• Old Crayon or Tea Bag box (to hold recipes not being used that week)

This post is long over due- but there’s nor greater time than now, so here’s a fist bump on getting personal…

Obedience: not a word that people generally like to hear (me especially) as the free spirit I am! (ha) But obedience to God? Now that’s a whole different level… Obedience to God’s voice was not easy for me when he first called me to leave the security of my job as a hair stylist, and follow my dream into full time photography. I loved the people I worked with, and was content- but way too busy. Newlywed, hairstylist, photographer, a full time care giver and guardian to my daddy, I barely had time to go to sleep, let alone think of relaxing with my dashingly handsome husband  We had been married for nearly 6 months, when we started to pray about what the future had in store for us and my photography career. When I shared with him what I was feeling, and where I felt like the Lord was calling me to go, he said, without hesitation “then do it”. Now, guys are much simpler that gals, that’s just the way we were designed, and yes, of course  he said more than that, but for some reason those were the only words that stuck with me, why? Because God was speaking the same thing to me.

For weeks I studied the story of Abraham, and how he had to leave everything comfortable and familiar to him, and move towards an unknown destination, in order to fulfill God’s calling on his life. But the thing that a lot of people look past in that chapter, is that God first required a sacrifice of obedience from Abraham before His plan and purpose could be brought to completion. {Genesis 12} I felt like this day and age’s Abraham. Fear and doubt filled my mind “What if I fail?” “What if this is not God’s plan?” The beautiful thing about Jesus, is He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He never fails, or forsakes us, and is daily longing to be gracious to each and everyone of us. All He asks, is that we trust Him, and in His perfect plan (and timing) So that’s what I did.. and like Abraham, my faith was tested (and proved) in what God said.. Abraham  showed his faith, by putting his trust in the Lord, and acting upon God’s word.

When God speaks to us, and more importantly leads us, we need to follow in FAITH, trusting and believing that He will bless our obedience, and He will not waiver in seeing His promise come to pass. Does that mean that I won’t have to work my butt off? Absolutely not! But I’m not going to lie, some days, I stay in my fleece superman PJs, fuzzy socks, and 2nd day hair, and look for an excuse to leave the house. But I know that I am daily living out God’s will through the creative gifts and abilities He gave me. My vision, creativity, business model and my future, is guided by Him, and I can’t imagine any greater assurance in the world than knowing he is the CEO of my business

Thank you for the love and support from my amazing husband, family, friends, co-workers, and clients, who have supported me 100% in this journey, and even when I doubted, gave me the encouragement and faith I needed to step boldly into the future He has planned for me.
