Kayla & Shawn- MARRIED!

share: FacebooktwitterFacebooktwitter

Kayla and Shawn had a beautiful traditional July wedding. It was great seeing them and their love for the Lord, and the amazing process of becoming One under Him at Saline First Assembly of God a few weeks back. Such a sweet couple, they just got back from their Honeymoon last week, and have been enjoying life since they said their vows.Ā  Enjoy a sneak peak of their wedding! šŸ™‚ I pray the Lords blessings for you two, and wish you the best in discovering all that He has planned for your furture as Mr & Mrs!

Well, it is bittersweet to be back shooting again. I married my high school sweetheart December 11th, and now, it’s back to reality! It was like everything I dreamed of as a little girl, only… BETTER! šŸ™‚ I know you have all been waiting to see some photos from OUR special day and no, I did not take them myself as many of you asked! haha, a fellow photographer Rachel Shomsky (rachelshomsky.com) was our wedding photographer, and I added my own twist to editing , so wait no longer.. Enjoy!

So, kudos to DSW for giving me 2 left shoes, on my wedding day! haha the only “hiccup” from our big day. It turned out alRIGHT though, I had my cowboy boots to boogie down in at the reception šŸ˜‰

Daddy walked me down the isle, God is SO GOOD! Check out my blog post Safe in Daddy’s Arms to read our testimony.

While photographing a wedding, when everyone stands up and watches the Bride as she enters, I can’t help but look at the groom… But finally, I was looking at MY handsome GROOM!

Daddy said, “Dayna- you are all dressed up!”… “Well daddy, it is my wedding day!!”

Yes, we fit our ENTIRE bridal party in SHUTTERBOOTH! The booth was a must have being a picture fanatic!

A walk to change your lifeā€¦

I love a couple who likes to have fun in front of my camera, and that pretty much describes Stef & Aaron! I knew from the beginning that they were going to be a fun couple, because they came recommended from another bride and groom (Angie & Larry) who we photographed at their wedding last February and had a ton of fun. Stef told me from the beginning that she LOVES pictures (a girl after my own heart) and proved it when she was pretty much willing to do anything (including walking barefoot through thorn bushes and roaming downtown A2 in her wedding gown!) to get the perfect picture. So when I told her I was going to haveĀ  3rd photographer- Daighna- she had no problem with that because she knew that meant more pictures. For Daighna’s first wedding, she did awesome at keeping me sane, while making sure I didn’t leave any lens’s behind… ( I tend to leave things everywhere on wedding days!)

I love love LOVE the moments captured from their special day, and a huge thank you to STEF AND AARON for being so much fun and willing to do….pretty much anything for a good photograph šŸ™‚ AND another shout out to Daighna & Matt for working so hard, and capturing some awesome photos! Enjoy some of my favorites…

A wedding photographers DREAM!

share: FacebooktwitterFacebooktwitter

This weekend we ventured out to Livonia to capture this special day for Tim & Angela! I love a couple that just likes to have fun in front of the camera, and will just trust me and my creative eye, even if I ask them to do something that may sound crazy and that was them. We were supposed to go downtown Plymouth for their photos, but there was a festival going on that we didn’t know about. So we took a detour!Ā  We went to this old rustic village instead, and can I just say, it was a wedding photographers dream! As always, I wish I could have spent an entire day photographing there, there were so many cool photo opportunities, but I am beyond pleased with the photos we captured. When we went to the village, Matt stayed back at the reception hall to set up the gear, and I felt like a lost puppy dog, I seriously could not do one wedding without him, he keeps me sane through the chaos šŸ™‚ So a big THANK YOU goes out to him!!Ā  Enjoy the sneak peak, and Congrats to Tim & Angela, the Newlyweds!
